Eric McCafferty is a rare combination of finance wizard and incurable people person – just what you would want to guide you through the often complex process of buying or selling a home. His analytical mind serves his clients’ financial interests well, and his infectious energy brightens a room and gives people confidence to make necessary hard decisions.

A real estate native, Eric grew up in Los Gatos watching his mother, Amy McCafferty – a consistent top producer – help people achieve their dreams. He entered the business with no illusions about the hard work required to be successful in Silicon Valley residential real estate.

Before shifting his energies to real estate, Eric worked at the intersection of finance and technology. As an early stage employee, he managed key strategic accounts and facilitated the growth that helped his company make the transition from startup to publicly traded enterprise. Eric is equally fluent in discussing capital markets, digital marketing strategy, online consumer behavior, or what makes a house the right home (or not) for his clients.

Eric is an inclusive community builder by nature, and in practice, valuing the richness and depth that a diversity of voices and ways of thinking brings to a community. As the inclusion lead for the tech company where he worked until 2022, Eric worked hard to ensure that those voices were heard that are too often silenced. His sensitivity and keen ear are assets to clients as he helps them navigate important transitions.

The active Bay Area lifestyle suits Eric well and you’ll often find him on the pickleball court or working out at The Club at Los Gatos. His love of music takes him to local live shows several times a month (when conditions permit). After living for several years in San Francisco, which he loved, Eric is thrilled to back living and working in Los Gatos and Silicon Valley with a strong desire to help people thrive in the place he's always called home.
