Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty presents Marin County Restaurant Review 2015

Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty presents Marin County Restaurant Review 2015

The San Francisco Bay Area is flooded with many of California’s favorite eateries and bars, some well known to people all over the United States. Marin County is no exception offering hundreds of restaurants to choose from with a wide range of styles and genres.

So, what is the very best way to find a worthy restaurant for date night or to bring those clients to that you are hosting? Simple, ask the locals. After polling some of Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty’s self-proclaimed “food critic” agents, we have compiled a list of the Top 5 favorites!

Less reading, more working up an appetite.

  • A fan favorite seems to be Larkspur’s gem, Picco, located at 320 Magnolia Ave, Larkspur CA. This restaurant focuses on fresh northern California cuisine with favorites including risotto, gnocchi with house-made fennel sausage and house-made churros. The vibe has been described as one that “captures Marin County better than most of its contenders.” Check out the menu!
  • Next on our list, Sushi Ran, located at 107 Caledonia, Sausalito CA. This Japanese staple restaurant has been around for over 30 years and has not lost any of its magic. The quality of the seasonal seafood is exceptional and with dishes like smoked hamachi tataki with avocado, ruby grapefruit and yuzu black pepper sauce, how could it not be popular? Our agents say, bring on the miso. Check out the menu!
  • Having the reputation of being a known “foodie” area comes with food standards, and the most popular standard among the San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma County communities is farm-to-table fresh. It wouldn’t feel right to leave out a restaurant that uses this as a daily mission. Farmshop, located at 2233 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur CA specializes in fresh, local ingredients and an ever-changing menu. Our agents say it is truly a restaurant for all occasions; some fan favorite menu items including avocado hummus, rabbit porchetta and grilled swordfish with chickpeas. Check out the menu!
  • Sammy Hagar isn’t the only one reaping rewards from his famous restaurant, El Paseo in Mill Valley. European versatility and a California steak and chophouse come together in this restaurant and bring a strong focus on wine pairing and local, fresh ingredients. In Sammy’s words, “This is about spending time with special people and enjoying great food and wine. Those are the things I love.” What our agents are saying: we agree (and can I have an autograph?) Check out the menu!
  • Last but not least, a Marin County must-visit (if you’re really going to do it right) – Buckeye Roadhouse located at 15 Shoreline Highway, Mill Valley CA. Locals agree that this is the place to go for an oysters bingo, smoked chicken wing and s’mores pie fix. The restaurant has been around since 1937; the proof is in the pudding maple mashed yams. Check out the menu!

Bill Bullock and Lydia Sarkissian Break Luxury Home Sales Record in Marin

Bill Bullock and Lydia Sarkissian Break Luxury Home Sales Record in Marin!

Luxury realtors sold four homes over $10 million in 2015, double the previously held record

Luxury realtors Bill Bullock and Lydia Sarkissian have set a new record in the booming Marin County real estate market. In 2015 alone, Bullock and Sarkissian have sold four homes for over $10,000,000 – twice as many as have previously been sold by any agent or agent-team in the county in a single year.

Setting a luxury market milestone, Bullock and Sarkissian represented the Sellers of 101 Belvedere Avenue for $15.5 million, 125 Belvedere Avenue for $13 million, 1 Cliff Road for $10.5 million, and 255 Golden Gate Avenue for $10.5 million, all located in Belvedere, California. The team represented both the Buyer and Seller in the 255 Golden Gate Avenue transaction.

“It’s very gratifying to finally see Marin County gaining recognition as a high-end home destination in the Bay Area, and to know that Lydia and I have a determining role in that evolution,” Bullock said. “Lydia and I have been doing this for a very long time and we now have the good fortune of representing the dominant share of the current and historical high-end Marin County market.”

“Bill and I have always been innovators and for years, we have taken our listings in beautifully photographed and language-translated catalogs to property shows and Sotheby’s Auction Events in mainland China, Hong Kong and Europe.  We believe that we introduced and, on some level, educated the global marketplace to the stunning beauty and extraordinary lifestyle available here in Marin County,” says Sarkissian.

Operating as the Global Estates team under Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty, Bullock and Sarkissian have been considered the gateway to the luxury home Market in Marin because of their extensive high-end listing inventory and have been instrumental in the County’s high-end Real Estate expansion. Since 2010, sixteen homes have sold above $10 million, with Bullock and Sarkissian representing half of those sales. They are currently representing 185 Gilmartin Drive, among others.

Bullock and Sarkissian are not surprised at the growth they have been witnessing in the Marin market, crediting it to the region’s unsurpassed beauty and ideal location with access to both city life and nature. Communities like Belvedere – with views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, and Mount Tamalpais and a population just over 2,000 – are now uniquely in-demand real estate markets. Bullock and Sarkissian, the high-end market-makers of Marin, have managed to set a new precedent for high-end, hard-to-come-by real estate.

Bill Bullock and Lydia Sarkissian work as the Global Estates team under Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty. With combined sales of close to $2 billion in closed transactions, Bullock and Sarkissian represent the widest inventory of high-end homes available in the Marin market, including Belvedere, Kentfield, Ross and Tiburon, as well as other communities. Bullock and Sarkissian can be reached in the Decker Bullock Sotheby’s International Realty office at 100 Tiburon Boulevard, Mill Valley, CA 94941 or by phone at (415)517-7720.
