Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty attended the Sotheby’s International Realty® (SIR) 2017 Global Networking Event, September 25-27, 2017 at the Wynn Las Vegas. This signature SIR event brought over 2,400 attendees together from 34 countries, representing 156 offices, including our network of brokers, owners, managers and sales associates for networking and learning opportunities.
Over 70 Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty® agents, managers and staff attended the 2017 Global Networking Event with the hopes of taking advantage of the power of the Sotheby’s International Realty® network.

SIR President and Chief Executive Officer, Philip White, kicked off the GNE general sessions with an inspirational story on his personal connection with the brand and his strategic vision for continued global growth. We were then introduced to Kevin Thompson, SIR Chief Marketing Officer, as he unveiled the new global campaign LIVE, followed by keynote speaker Martha Stewart, with an in-depth conversation on what it means to build a long lasting and successful brand.
The 2017 GNE theme of influence, embrace, live was continued throughout 25 breakout sessions where agents received the latest education on leveraging their strengths, building meaningful connections, and embracing the power of the brand. Our own Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Thomas Henthorne, spoke on the Discover How to Effectively Use Social Media breakout session panel, providing advice and insight on how fellow SIR agents can build their social media presence, gaining more leads and building lasting relationships.
The 2017 SIR GNE ended on a high note as agents rallied support around New Story, the brand’s charitable partner, challenging the audience to pledge funds to build 100 homes for a new community project in Mexico.
